time is passing in a flash

Wow!  I cannot believe how quickly time has been moving.  We are just days away from yet another new year.  Please do not take my lack of postings as a sign of lack of creative activity....I have been super busy with technique time classes and card making for myself as well as for my mother.  I have  been having a blast!  But now I have the challenge of packing up my craft room as I get ready to move to a new house.....with a new crafting space.  I am so excited about that!  My plan is to decorate and lay out the room so that I can do my crafting and classes right there.  Once it is finished I promise to share pictures!

Until then.....
always remember:  You are NEVER too old to play with paper!!

Shame on me!

I cannot believe that it has been nearly a month since I last updated this blog.  Shame on me!  I actually thought I had shared how my Intro to Papercrafting class had gone.  It was so much fun.  I did not have a huge turnout, but the ones that did come were great!

My next class is next Saturday....I already have a HUGE order (thank you Ginny!!) and I am hoping to spread my love of papercrafting to some newbies who will be there!

This time I promise to share photos of projects we made!

Until next time....
I will be playin' with paper,

tomorrow's the day....

Well, I spent most of today prepping for tomorrow....I must be honest...I am more than a little disappointed that I didn't get a better response.  I invited close to 20 and will probably have 7...and that includes my mom and me....so really only 5.  I am hoping for some drop ins.  I have enough for 10.

It was so difficult to narrow down what to demo.  I decided to make a monkey nugget holder, some scrunchy flowers, a fancy fold dahlia, ribbon card, and a mini backpack.  They are all so adorable!  I will post pictures soon!

table decoration...with a twist of patty

Well, it has been one week since I decided I would try to keep up with a blog.  It was a very stressful week for me last week...in the part of my life that gets up and leaves the house to earn money.  As a result, I didn't do much of anything when I got home at night.  In the back of my mind, however, I knew I needed to work on part of the table decorations for the bridal shower.  I wasn't certain when the shower was going to be...but I knew it had to be soon.  Soon it is....next Sunday!  LOL Needless to say, I was busy planning, cutting, inking, and finally crafting.  It was a wonderful afternoon!

The basic design is not mine; I found the idea for the basket on a fellow bloggers site...the little blue room.  She has some great ideas; be sure to check it out.  I added my personal touches, of course.  The leaves are from the doodlecharm cricut cartridge and the owls and branches are courtesy of Stampin' Up!  I LOVE their punches.  I think I use them almost as much as I actually stamp.

Too stinkin' cute, if I must say so myself!!!  And since I am sitting here by myself....I guess I must!  LOL

till next week,
keep playin' with paper!
